Firefighters save litter of puppies trapped under SC home

South Carolina firefighters on Monday rescued a mother dog and a litter of puppies trapped under a home.

Firefighters with Marion Fire Rescue responded to the home after 9 a.m. to assist animal control officers.

The mother dog and her puppies, which were so tiny they fit in the palms of the firefighters' hands, were rescued.

Marion Fire Rescue wrote, "We were glad to help these furry friends!"

The home appeared to be dilapidated. It was unclear how the puppies got there.
