Cinnaholic is a cinnamon roll lovers dream.

Most of us think of fluffy iced cinnamon rolls as a guilty pleasure, but Poonam Grewal, co-owner of the new Cinnaholic in Alexander Place, has some GREAT news for you! She joined Jami Caskey for this week's Out and About podcast to talk about the Cinnaholic magic: cholesterol free, egg free, dairy free cinnamon rolls that clock in at about half the calories of a traditional cinnamon roll, and are JUST as delicious, if not more so!

Poonam says Cinnaholic’s delicious cinnamon rolls are vegan, yes, but are also so tasty that most of her customers don’t realize they’re a healthier alternative until she tells them! Not only does it mean you get to leave guilt at the door, but they’re also the perfect treats for folks with an egg or dairy food allergy or intolerance. Cinnaholic offers more than 20 vegan icing choices and vegan topping choices, with rotating seasonal specialties as well.

The vegan treats shop doesn’t just serve made-from-scratch cinnamon rolls: They’re also dishing up fresh-baked vegan brownies, seasonal sweet breads and coffee cake!

Bonus: Poonam and her bakery team LOVE handing out samples to show folks just how great these healthier alternative treats are, so pop in anytime to try for yourself!

Cinnaholic Alexander Place is open seven days a week in the Brier Creek area near Walmart, from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Sunday through Thursday, and from 9 a.m. to 10 p.m. on Friday and Saturday. The location has been open for a couple of months now, and Poonam says not only do they have customers who have become `breakfast regulars’, but Cinnaholic stays open late because the fresh-baked treats make great desserts for folks finishing up dinner or a night out.

They also offer catering with CinnaCakes and Baby Buns, gift cards, and you can order online, or on the Cinnaholic app to get redeemable rewards points.

Next time you’re in the mood for a sweet treat but want to go a little healthier, try the delicious vegan options at Cinnaholic in Brier Creek: 7851 Alexander Place, Raleigh. Online at cinnaholic.com, search Alexander Place.

Cinnaholic also has locations on Oberlin Road in Raleigh and on Parkside Main Street in Cary.
