Netflix show 'Outer Banks' begins filming fourth season in South Carolina, seeks extras

Filming is underway for season four of the hit Netflix show “Outer Banks.”

Casting agency Kimmie Stewart Casting said they’re looking for background actors for week one, which started filming Monday in Charleston, South Carolina.

The casting agencies is looking for extras for various roles, including a family adult of the Heyward family, a child of the Heyward family, family friends, auction attendees and others.

In the eighth episode of season three, University of North Carolina basketball player Armando Bacot made a cameo appearance.

“Outer Banks” debuted in spring 2020 during the onset of the COVID-19 pandemic.

The show is set in an Outer Banks community along the North Carolina coast. Teen character John B. Routledge – portrayed by actor Chase Stokes – enlists his three best friends to hunt for a legendary treasure linked to his dad’s disappearance.
