Powerball and Mega Millions jackpots total $600 million

Mega Millions and Powerball jackpots up for grabs Tuesday and Wednesday nights together total $600 million.

Tuesday's drawing for the Mega Millions jackpot is a $260 million annuity worth $134.3 million in cash. Wednesday's Powerball drawing is a $340 million annuity worth $175.5 million in cash.

Both drawings will be held at 11 p.m. on WRAL.

Powerball drawings yielded big wins already in the month of June, including a $1 million win and two $50,000 wins in the June 3 drawing, a $100,000 win in the June 5 drawing, and a $250,000 win in the June 7 drawing that remains unclaimed. The unclaimed ticket came from Online Play in Charlotte.

“It is important for players to remember that even though these big jackpots are still up for grabs, lots of other big wins occur in every drawing,” said Mark Michalko, executive director of the N.C. Education Lottery. “Make sure to check your tickets closely and good luck to everyone going for those awesome jackpots this week.”

The odds of winning the Powerball jackpot are 1 in 292 million. The odds of winning a Mega Millions jackpot are 1 in 302 million.
